Your use of Tris Gruber Computer Services (TGCS) is subject to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully. They do not affect your statutory rights.
OUR AGREEMENT
By using services from TGCS you are entering into a contract. The terms below are important and set out our obligations to you and what you are agreeing to.
3-MONTH SERVICE WARRANTY
All TGCS services carry a 3-month warranty. This means that if there is a recurrence of the same problem that was fixed or any fault which is connected to the service provided then I will reinvestigate crediting any previous payment made. Should the cost of any additional repairs exceed the amount previously paid then further charges may apply. If I cannot fix the problem, I will refund you in full for the services performed. This excludes faults caused by the failure of other components after the repair has taken place, or by faults caused through the incorrect use of software or downloaded material, or by faults arising from accidental damage or incorrect use.
WARRANTY ON PARTS
All parts supplied are covered by the manufacturer's warranty. Should a part fail within the warranty period a replacement will be supplied and fitted at no additional charge. This applies purely to the fitting of the part; any additional work such as data transfer or software installation is not covered by this warranty.
TGCS cannot be responsible for any loss or corruption of data, information or records due to failure of any parts supplied. You are responsible for ensuring that all data and information on your computer is appropriately backed up.
CUSTOMER DATA
IMPORTANT: You are responsible for ensuring that all data and information on your computer or other hardware is appropriately backed up before I access your system. TGCS will not be responsible for any loss of data, information or records arising from any service provided or the failure of any part supplied.
Where a computer needs to be reset or restored, data backup/restoration and software reinstallation is at additional cost. This service is provided for customer convenience only and at no time will TGCS be responsible for the safeguarding of this data. Responsibility for ensuring important data is appropriately backed up remains yours at all times
SERVICE REQUIREMENTS
Your computer system should have Microsoft Windows 7 or later operating systems installed or Apple OS X or later. If you do not have these I will still try and complete the requested service but chances of a successful resolution may be limited.
If your computer cannot be repaired or you elect not to proceed with a repair offered then a diagnostic fee may still be chargeable.
TGCS does not perform any wall or ceiling mounting or within wall cabling.
LIABILITY EXCLUSIONS
TGCS does not have specific knowledge of your computer and its configuration. Whilst I will use my best efforts to minimise disruption to your system, I cannot be responsible for any unforeseen consequences of the services provided.
Services provided may affect manufacturer warranty validity. It is your responsibility to assess the effect of TGCS services on any manufacturer's warranty and take appropriate action.
TGCS cannot be responsible or liable to you in relation to any service regarding; any loss or corruption of data, information or records, any loss of goodwill, or any loss of (or interruption to) business or contracts, any failure by you to follow reasonable advice, recommendations or instructions given, any loss that is not reasonably foreseeable.
DISPOSAL OF UNCOLLECTED HARDWARE
TGCS does not provide a storage service. Any equipment not collected within 90 days following notification that work or diagnosis has been completed will be properly and safely disposed of.
WARRANTY ON CUSTOM PC BUILDS
Computers built by TGCS carry a 12-month warranty on parts and a 3-year warranty on labour. Should a part fail within the first year of the warranty period a replacement will be supplied and fitted at no additional charge. Should a part fail within the final 2 years of the warranty period a replacement will be offered at additional cost with no charge for fitting. This applies purely to the fitting of the part; any additional work such as data transfer or software reinstallation is not covered by this warranty.
TGCS cannot be responsible for any loss or corruption of data, information or records due to failure of any parts supplied. You are responsible for ensuring that all data and information on your computer is appropriately backed up.
This warranty does not cover software or operating system faults or to any defect arising from fair wear and tear, wilful damage, accident, negligence by you or any third party, or any alteration or repair carried out by anyone other than TGCS.
WARRANTY ON REFURBISHED HARDWARE
Refurbished machines supplied by TGCS carry a 12-month warranty. Should the device hardware fail within the warranty period a repair will be offered free of charge or, where a repair is not possible, a refund of the original purchase price will be offered.
TGCS cannot be responsible for any loss or corruption of data, information or records due to failure of any hardware supplied. You are responsible for ensuring that all data and information on your computer is appropriately backed up.
This warranty does not cover software or operating system faults or to any defect arising from fair wear and tear, wilful damage, accident, negligence by you or any third party, or any alteration or repair carried out by anyone other than TGCS.
Refurbished machines supplied by TGCS may be returned within 30 days of delivery provided that the device is in the same physical condition as supplied.
